Swimwear, Bikepool, and Condomwear

An-Chien called last night while we were at Taipei Eye and asked if LJue and Spiras wanted to go swimming and he invited me too!. So I went. He picked us up at 0900 and we headed off to the pool. We tried to see if we could get the "student price," (which was 50NT? I think), but they did not accept international students, not that I had my student ID card anyways. We just all paid 100NT and went in to swim. It was a meter pool and given that I haven't swam in so long, I thought I was gonna die swimming laps. Luckily, I have been working out/doing cardio for about a week, so it wasn't so bad. I still like yard pools better, cause flipturns and pushing off the wall helps alot =) They even had a water slide there. I went once, I wanted to go more, but I didn't want to go alone. I did manage to convine An-Chien and LJue to go with me once though. However, An-Chien hurt his bigtoe when he landed on the bottom =(

Because I didn't eat breakfast before I went, I was starving by the time we left. LJue and I dropped our stuff back in our rooms and went to eat at a "garage-like" day market in Gongguan.

We saw someone eating this and it looked good, so we ordered it too!
We headed home after lunch and chilled on our computers a bit. At night, we went to Linjiang St. Tourist Night Market (臨江街觀光夜市). While normal tourist would take the MRT or even ride a cab, LJue and I had another idea. There are pegs on the backwheel of her bicycle and despite faild attempts previously, we decided to try again, and this time it worked! At first, it was a bit wobbly, as I did not have good balance cause I was so scared and it was hard for her to bike in a "non-drunk" manner with someone on her back. But by the end of the night, we became semi-pros. Pretty soon, we will be able to fit in with the locals! We will try to get someone to take a picture of us doing so someday.

We have also decided to install pegs on the backwheel of our bikes at home. Since we will be living in the same complex next year, we can "bikepool" (haha). I felt kind of bad because she had to do all of the biking; my legs are too short and I cannot even touch the floor with my tippy toes on her bike, which would be a bad idea to have her stand on the pegs. One thing I must note though, after an extended amount of time on the pegs, it REALLY hurts your feet. I don't know how the locals can stand it wearing only flip flops or sandals. I could barely walk after I got off. Too bad UCSD is up a hill and it's campus is far from flat, otherwise, our bikepool would work well.

Night market sign!
we wanted to buy some fruit and saw this conjoined banana at a fruit stand. I wonder if I can practice my future surgeon skills by separating this banana?
do you see the pocket? what do YOU think it is used for?
LJue and I had a good laugh over her answer of the questions *wink* Apparently, it will be her gift to me at my bridal shower. Yes, in bright orange with teal outline. I will also give her one at hers... in a very hideous color I am yet to invent
